hi friends, so much stuff is going on right now– and all of it is for the best.
after being silent for 7 days the nodules on my vocal chords are less swollen so my doctor doesn’t want to operate with the risk of ruining my voice! but he has cancelled my whole month + ordered me to 30 more silent days + super intense speech + voice therapy! he thinks i can beat the crap out of it with muscle instead of medicine! i’m so bummed about canceling my radio shows but it’s the doctors order + i promise to make it up to you + ur home towns! and i’ll see you all in the summer on my first headlining “lovestrong” tour!!!!
so, while im home sitting being quiet, i decided to take care of my bum ankle too. i’ve secretly been limping for over a year + a half… + it started to get really bad. i finally had the time to see a specialist + get an MRI + they suggested surgery! i figured, why not get it done since i already cant talk!! haha! i went on friday + it was super intense, but im gonna be totally fine! my mama flew in and is taking care of me, loving me + making me the best homecooking on the planet. sometimes your body just says, “hey! wait a minute!” so here i am, listening to my body, learning how to do my job better, and taking a well needed rest! whats the saying? “man plans + god laughs” thank you everyone for you endless thoughts + prayers + wishes + kind words. my life may be bananas + upside down right now… but im so grateful to be alive + learning + living + laughing + experiencing + being loved by you. i love you back. see you this summer

After an emergency ENT visit in Dublin Christina Perri got bad news, the doctor told her that she had broken vocal chords. She had to cancel the rest of her tour and go back home to the United States so she could get rest and she also has to stop talking for a while so her vocal chords can heal.
